How to bid on federal contracts
Get help with a federal bid
A good bid takes days of work, and the first ones are the hardest. Here is where to get help, from free advice on the process to people who write bids for a living.
Free: Procurement Assistance Canada
The government’s own help desk for businesses. It explains the process, helps with registering, and runs free seminars on how bids are evaluated, but it doesn’t write or review a bid for you. National InfoLine: 1-800-811-1148 (Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm Eastern), or SAC-PAC@tpsgc-pwgsc.gc.ca. More on what it offers
Paid: bid writers and procurement consultants
Firms that write federal bids, plan which tenders to go after, put together pricing, or help with security clearances and Indigenous partnerships. ContractTrail is putting together a directory of them, by kind of help and province, so a bidder can find one from the tender they are looking at.
How it will work: listings will be clearly marked as listings, listed firms won’t be ranked, and a listing never changes what the data shows about any vendor, buyer or tender. ContractTrail doesn’t take bids itself.
Are you a bid writer or consultant? Ask to be listed
Tell us about your firm and we’ll be in touch before the directory opens. Nothing is published until you’ve seen and approved your listing.
