Tender alerts (/alerts): your email address and the topics and regions you pick. Nothing is sent until you confirm by the link we email you, and every email has a one-click unsubscribe. List your firm (/bid-help): your firm’s name, work email, website, what you help with and where. We use it to write to you about a listing, and publish nothing without your OK. Both are stored with Resend, the service that sends our email, and used for that purpose only: never shared or sold. To have yours deleted, write to hello@contracttrail.ca.

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read and which buttons are pressed; never what you type into a form. It sets cookies and receives your IP address, browser and the pages you view, which Google processes under its own privacy policy. You can block it with Google’s opt-out browser add-on or your browser’s privacy settings. The site works without it.

The site may show ads from Google AdSense, labelled “Advertisement”. Advertisers have no say in what any vendor, buyer or tender page shows. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s advertising cookies let it and its partners serve ads based on those visits. You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google’s Ads Settings, and out of other vendors’ cookies at aboutads.info. How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

The site is hosted on Vercel, whose servers log requests (including IP addresses) for security and operation. If you write to hello@contracttrail.ca, we keep your message to answer it and add you to no list.

The contracts, tenders and awards are the governments’ own public disclosures. Vendors who are people, not organizations, are never named (how that is decided). Questions: hello@contracttrail.ca.
